Review Conclusion - Excellent!
This whole build process took about 30 steps and half an hour to write and test. The IDE has a built in debugger with breakpoints so you can test it step by step and view the output from compiles etc.
I haven't even touched on the COM server that is built in so you can run VBP from your own applications or the ease with which scheduled tasks can be setup or the integrated Windows Scripting that supports VBScript and JScript. Every step can have script code attached.
Visual Build Pro provides built-in support for Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2002, 2003, and 2005 and Visual Studio 6.0, including Visual Basic, Visual C++, Visual C#, Visual J++, Visual J#, SourceSafe, Installer, Borland Delphi, C++Builder, JBuilder, and lots more.
My experiences with VBP have all been very positive and it more than warrants the 5/5 rating. In fact it achieves the rare accolade of being elegant software and is highly recommended.
