Compile your First C++ Application with Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition

Create a new Project

Now click the menu entry File -- New Project. You should see the popup box as shown above. On the Project types tree select CLR (Circle #1) and in the Templates box select Windows Forms Aplication. (Circle #2)

In the Name box ( Circle #3) type in HelloWorld and click the OK button.

On the next page : Learn about the toolbox.

• Create a new Project
• Now Display the Toolbox
• Drag the Label Control to the Form
• Change the Label's text
• Compiling and Running the Hello World Application
