"Definition of Managed Code"Definition: In .NET
Managed code is code that has its execution managed by the .NET Framework.
Because of the way code is compiled under .NET, it is considerably safer than the code produced by C++ on a Win 32 platform. Code that includes potentially dangerous features such as pointers must be marked as unsafe and is called unmanaged code.
