Definition: GUI is short for Graphical User Interface and is how you'd describe Windows (any version), Gnome/KDE desktops on Linux or the Apple Mac Interface. It is the opposite of a Command Line Interface.
The User Interface uses graphical elements such as buttons, windows, and scroll bars to control the computer.
