Definition: If a user account on a Windows PC is a member of the Administrators Group then that user is said to have Admin Privilege. This means that the user can run applications that can read or write to certain parts of the registry or write data to protected locations, such as the Program Files and Windows Directory.
With Microsoft Windows Vista, developers are encouraged not to have applications that need Admin privilege as only users running as Administrators will be able to run applications.
