The London based music recomendation service Last.fm uses C++ extensively and as a thank you, their developers have open sourced their Linux Moost library.
Named after Boost, it contains useful algorithms for set intersection, hashing, code for memory mapping and lots lots more. They also have other open source (in C, C++ and other languages) on their Github site.
