C# Wins A Programming Language Popularity Contest

A new one on me the PYPL Popularity Index of Programming Language shows C# as rising 2.3% in the last year compared to the Tiobe Index and C++ by 0.9%. It pegs C# as the language of 2012.

Interesting how they also compare their methodology against Tiobe. PyPl search for the phrase tutorials not programming and cite an interesting case with Objective-C. PyPl shows Java comfortably on top followed by PHP then C#, C++ and C in that order.
