If It's Too Good to be True- Maybe?

By , About.com GuideSeptember 9, 2009

Follow me on:

I came across a free Enterprise manager for SQLite (on a VB components website!) and installed it. It looks very good but I'm not sure if there's a problem as it appears to be trying to install the Rapiz video converter whenever I run the application. After I cancel the install (three times!) the application Sqlite2009Pro runs. Now possibly something has infected the exe but a scan by AVG/Ad Aware/Windows Defender and Spybot S & D (I'm paranoid!) found nothing.

As none of those was set off by this and I turned up no warnings on the web my feeling is that it's an error with my PC or the install rather than a nasty. If anyone is brave enough to give it a try or already has it and could let me know if it runs ok that would be great. I actually had the Rapiz video converter on my PC already so it's possible something went wrong and Windows just got confused. I'd hate to think I was blaming a totally innocent and very useful application.

Hi Dave,
Haven’t had any of the problems you described. Have been using it for a week or so now and find it extremely good.
Regards
