Programming Challenges - a New Contest!
As well as the programming puzzles which always get comments, I thought it might be fun to have programming challenges. These are programming competitions, purely for fun (and glory) but no prizes- that's About.com's policy.
So the first challenge has been posted- see the link below and the deadline is the end of June- you have a month. If you start at 123456789 and count up to 987654321 with each 9 digit number having only one of the digits 1..9 etc then what is the 100,000th number in the sequence? Write a program to work it out- the fastest ten entries get a permanent mention. Of course it has to be written in C, C++ and C# (1.0 or 2.0) and you must supply source code that can be compiled with any of the popular, free or commercial compilers. Email your entry to me at the address given on the page linked below.

Back soon. I've already got the next challenge sorted out- if you have any ideas for future programming challenges let me know please by email to the same address.

Comments
Hi,
Can I submit in C++ and C#?
Kind Regards,
Lennie De Villiers
WHAT “address on the page linked below”?
The “Sumbit to Digg” doesn’t give an e-mail address for you. The “Read Archives” doesn’t help. Your name at the top of the article doesn’t provide an e-mail address. I’m confused!
When the answers will published?
and which link we can view answers?
I am also confused where the email address is?????
