A New (Old) Development System!

Sunday September 3, 2006

Turbo C++ ManualAfter my nostalgic look back at Turbo C, would you believe it, the Borland offshoot company (known as DevCo) are relaunching several products under the Turbo brand : Turbo C++, Turbo Delphi (for Windows and .NET) and Turbo C#. These are new versions of old products with all the innovative features of Borland's enterprise products. Turbo Java is also promised but not ready yet.

It's a bold move, especially as they are launching free ("explorer") versions as well. But it's not 1986 now so Microsoft is much tougher, better established and possibly as equally innovative with free versions of Visual C++ and Visual C#. That said I wish Borland all the best with this and will bring you reviews and tutorials as and when they become available.

You can find out more about the new Turbo Products on the Turbo Explorer website.
